...And I’m certainly not only a fan of extreme metal. That one person who left 5 stars complaining about all “metalheads” & apparently also a J. Bieber fan can shove his silly review up his you know where. I’d say it to his face too, I doubt the troll would say it to any metal fans in person. Skip this film. Nuff said.
  • Euronymous is a sweetheart?

The way Varg and Euronymous are portrayed pretty much sums up how inaccurate the feature is.
  • Embarrassing

Hard to watch. Why don’t they have Norwegian accents? The black metal scene is cringing at these dorks making a fanboy film.

This was quite possibly the lamest account of a story that’s been told and retold a billion times. The casting in this was deplorable, and the acting was wretched.
  • Don’t listen to metal crybabies

This movie is fantastic. Metal people tend to be such babies when it comes to everything. Yes I know the true story, followed it for years. Know all the characters well and have read/watched reports on it for ages. That said, if you want to find out the truth, use google. If you want to be entertained, watch the movie. Remember, metal heads are the same fragile people who feel threatened by Justin Bieber, it’s no wonder this movie is hurting their feelings.

The true story of mayhem although some little details are incorrect I would give this 4 and a half stars not 5
  • Based on 90% lies 10% truth

Mostly inaccurate music biopic. The people the music was based on should have been interviewed to get facts straight. Varg is pretty much slandered in this movie.
  • Why Not Tell the Truth?

I've read enough, and seen enough videos (Varg, Fenriz, ect etc) on this scene to know that this movie was made the same way every other stereotypical Hollywood movie is made. They take some bits of truth and twist it to a narrative (or agenda) that they prefer. There is enough to dislike about these real people without adding additional nonsense to it. Hasn't Hollywood ever heard the idea that truth is stranger (and more interesting) than fiction?
