Description

From Rich Froning and Annie Thorisdottir to Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey — if each new generation of champions sees further than the one before, it’s because they stand on the shoulders of giants. When Fraser declared he would retire from competition after the 2020 season, he opened the door to a new wave of challengers. In 2021, new and seasoned competitors marked the 15th year of the Games with 15 events designed to test the limits of human potential and their worthiness to be called the fittest. Amid the surprises, upsets, and staggering displays of incomparable athleticism, Toomey ticked on with consistency and calm like a clock in a thunderstorm, all while shattering records and securing her place as the most unbeatable athlete in CrossFit Games history. At the 2021 Games, we witnessed the return of some of the sport’s greats and the rise of the new initiates — those who will carry the mantle of the Fittest on Earth for the next generation.

  • Audio is terrible

I have watched all of these movies over the years. The production quality for this one is terrible. The music is so loud and then the spoken interviews are very quiet. This appears to get rectified some as the film goes on but it’s by far the least well put together of any of the films. Bring back the Buttery Bros!!
  • Sound is AWFUL

The super loud dramatic music drowns out the narrarator and athletes talking. We were constantly turning it up to hear people speaking and turning it back down when the unnecessary music blasted.
  • Just so bad

The music is playing so loud over the interviews so you can’t hear what is being said. One of the athletes is literally speaking a different language with no captions so you have no idea what he said. The questions the interviewers ask after competitions are boring and you can barely hear what they are asking. Former media team did these 1000x better.
  • What is up with the audio?!

Did the editors or anyone at HQ not notice the music was SO LOUD you can’t hear any of the athletes or anyone speaking? I stopped watching after 3 mins because it was horrible! And I was putting the volume up and down the entire time. So disappointed! The previous docs were much better edited.
  • Poor all around

New producers need to be fired. This one and 2018 are terrible. No excitement, not motivating, poor representation of CrossFit relations, horrible quality, just poor all around. Sad to see this is the direction CrossFit chose to go with these.

The background music is so loud and you can’t hear what the people are saying. I adjusted all the audio settings on my tv to try to make it work. Waste of money, never again. I had to turn it off after a few minutes because it was so annoying

I’m thrilled to have a 2021 documentary, unfortunately I found it quite dull. I personally found the previous documentaries humorous, and this one seemed too serious with a lot of crying. I also thought the audio could have been better. I enjoy watching these documentaries in the background when training, and this one is just not as fun to watch or listen to. I really enjoyed the 2021 games!! Unfortunately I did not love the documentary.

Besides the audio, just didn’t seem like there was a real storyline or climax. After watching the previous documentaries, I left completely inspired and determined. I laughed, My heart raced, it was epic. Didn’t really feel anything after this one.
  • Sound Quality is Terrible

This was by far probably the most compelling, best storyline in Games history and the sound mixing and editing completely distracted from the experience. I hate to give poor reviews, but this year’s story basically told itself and the film did not convey it. I had to adjust the sound settings on my TV just to be able to watch it because the music was so loud and the interviews/dialogue was so quiet. I still couldn’t hear the interview questions so I’m sure I missed a bunch of the storyline. Disappointing for $15.
  • So hype! But the sound is rough

I love sports docs, they are my favorites! I am bummed that the interviews were hard to hear and the music was so loud. Subtitles required for sureeee
