The nicest movie ever! The actors were perfect with the best story. There is nothing wrong with this movie! Well done! It's my favorite. Please do more! An scannán is deas riamh! Bhí na aisteoirí foirfe leis an scéal is fearr. Níl mícheart ar bith leis an scannán seo! Maith sibh! Is ansa liom. Déanaigí níos mó, más é do thoil é!

Loved this movie. It’s a simple yet powerful movie. Really feel for the characters. The story. The young actress in this was great. It’s a great example of “Less Is More”. One of my favorite films of the year.

The Quiet Girl, set in rural Ireland and spoken in the dying language of Gaeilge, focuses on young Cait who is sent away by her inattentive and poverty- stricken parents to live with her mother’s cousin and husband. What unfolds is a brilliantly written and expertly directed film that reminds us how challenging it can be to be young, especially when sent far away from the familiar. But what is home after all? Are parents the people who you come through to get here or those who help you grow? You will see the quiet strength of Cait played by first time young actress Catherine Clinch and be pulled in watching how she navigates her life as best she can before and after she is essentially sent away to live with strangers to her. She is an actor to watch as her career is just beginning. This film has so many quiet moments that say nothing but say so much. And in that, lies the beauty of The Quiet Girl…
