  • It’s Disturbing to say the least

I would rather watch grass grow. Nick cage is the only positive thing in the movie. Disgusting to know that this even went to script. But I guess that a story like this needs to be told. Thailand and Taiwan along with China and Mexico are really the main concern for this kind of film. I will flat out say it. Killing and degrading the female of the species in pornography is not an acceptable way to make money.
  • Good but dark

All of the actors gave good performances. And the story was good, if you had to choose one for this type of movie. I also believe that, Rotten Tomatoes gave a rotten review. They compare movies to every movie, if just this type it’d be much higher.

8MM is about as underrated as a film can get. Tragically underrated, horribly overlooked. Nicolas Cage has some of his trademark freak-outs, but wow, given the well-executed dark tone and disturbing subject matter— those Nic Cage freak-outs are definitely warranted along with an Act III that breaks away completely from the typical thriller genre standards.

This movie was a bit disturbing at first but the more you watch the more you want. Cage and Phoenix, both convincing actors, pull you in to the movie and its plot. I wonder if this really happens in the real world and the answer I believe is YES. Money provides a person with power and with power.....well I am sure you can sum that one up. Really liked this movie and you will want to watch it more than once. Enjoy...

Great acting by Nicholas Cage, but the movie was disturbing. It earned its R-rating.
