It’s also a celebration of bad jokes. The ones that are so bad, they are great.

I watched this movie without knowing the meta critic or rotten tomatoes review, and I must say, it's a hilarious film! Sure the production and costume design could need improvement, but Mel Brook's genius cannot be denied. This film is about laughs rather than eye-candy and the movie sells! It's a must watch for a good laugh.

If i have to say which Mel Brooks movie i genuinely disliked, it would have to be Dracula Dead and Loving It. This just stunk. Just one of those comedies that brings no effort into being funny at all and just expects the actors and crew to bring something to life, which this movie never did. Its just an hour and a half of sleepwalking comedians, lumbering though a clearly dying film. Their might be one funny part in this, if you can find a clip of it, thats really all you need to see. I thought Mel Brooks would make something amazing out of this, he didn't. Leslie Nielson on the other hand, just looked embarrassed and dazed.

This is one of Leslie Nielson's best performances EVER! Great plot and story! The funnies are so numerous and sometimes subtle, that you need to re-watch it at least twice to make sure you saw them all! His shadow deserves an Oscar all it's own! My only disappointment is with iTunes. I wish my rental would have been available for closer to a week than for just one day. My time expired before full satisfaction was achieved. Please iTunes, consider allowing rentals to be viewed for 3-7 days before you remove them from your customers library. Or maybe allow a rental to be downloaded onto up to five different computers during the first 24 hours after purchase, with all of the rules being applied individually to each ones library. Sometimes we can't all sit down and watch something together.

I've watched this movie over 5 times and I thought it was the funniest every each time. It may be dry humor but it is still a very funny movie. If you are not sure, rent the movie first.

While I agree that its not his best movie, there are still for very good lines in this movie.
