The writer and director of The 40-Year-Old Virgin delivers a hilarious hit comedy that the New York Post calls "Brilliant." They say that opposites attract. Well, for slacker Ben (Seth Rogen) and career girl Alison (Katherine Heigl), that's certainly the case - at least for one intoxicated evening. Two months and several pregnancy tests later, Ben and Alison go through a hysterically funny, anxious and heartwarming journey that The New York Times calls "an instant classic."

Thought this movie is hilarious, to many sensitive people now a days. Imagine them watching old Eddie Murphy stand ups and original films. Miss them.

  • Why the high ratings?

I have no problem whatsoever with crass comedy. I do not mind nudity. It seems that most of the bad reviews have problems with the cursing and such. None of that bothers me- I just did not find this movie funny. I see where it's going, trying to put a "modern" spin on pregnancy and relationships, etc. But I just found it lame and sad. A bunch of sad characters that need to get their priorities straight. A bunch of lame jokes. I also must say that I found the fact that she didn't even consider abortion- and that they portray abortion as outdated- to be frightening.

The first half of the movie is funny af. It's gets sappy like the rest of his movies do at the end though

How did this movie get a 90% rating? The critics are obviously perverted old men that like to see boobs on screen over and over again, here "f--k" unnecessarily about 100 times, and laugh at stupid banter and call it comedy. Not to mention the main male characters men are slight misogynist and degrade women at every chance they get. You will get a few laughs and may even cry at the end, but this movie just shows how corrupt human nature has become.
