Two very powerful performances by Jodie Foster and Kelly McGillis give life to this story of injustice and frustration. Foster is excellent as the tough as nails victim who wants nothing more than belief in what happened. McGillis is very convincing as the prosecuting attorney who fights to have the story told. Very talented actresses who I would like to see more of in films. Great film.

@Lanette Harris, Are you 12 years old? Next time, how about writing a comment in English (it was some sort of English gibberish ), if you want to remotely be taken serious.

Very poignant movie for recent and trendy 'flash mob' events. Thanks iTunes, for making this the weekly 99 cent movie rental. This movie reminds us that in America, it's not only 'the act of doing' that represents our involvement, but also what we do, say and think on the sidelines that implicates our involvement. Timely reminder.

This movie is extremely powerful in the very raw and honest way it brings across the plight of a woman who is unjustly deemed unworthy of the protection of society and the law. Jodie Foster's acting is incredible so that we can truly feel the character's emotions come across the screen. This movie is a must see for everyone mature enough to handle the subject matter. One of the best movies ever made.

I remember when this actually happened and was in the news. This is the movie that also earned Jodie Foster her 1st Oscar which was well deserved. The acting in the movie was awesome and the story line stayed with what really happened. I highly recommend this movie if your a Jodie Foster fan!
