Impeccable acting, a good and somewhat unusual plot, a very good script (with, alert, tons of cussing and lewd talk). It all comes together into a gripping, pleasing film that deserves to be called a classic. I just watched this, and I think it will be one of my favorite movies. Al Pacino one his first Best Actor Oscar, and he deserves it. Watch this, without impressionable children, with a profanity filter if that stuff bothers you, as a couple, a group of friends who’s tastes can range from down to earth to pretentious, a group of college kids, or whoever would love vintage Pacino in a great film.

Great movie. A story of redemption! The movie shows that life experience teaches us more then wealth, power, and knowledge!

Although this was a compelling emotional drama in its time, today it's contrived over acted an extremely predictable. This movie can only be spectacular in 1993. Unfortunately it's 2013 and just like many things that were smart, funny and cutting edge 20 years ago they are just stale and out of date today. Kind of like a 1993 Chevy Blazer, a cool ride when it was new and today they're all in the scrapyard. This movie hasn't aged any better.

Whoo haa, kind of says it all. Simply the best story line with the best actor who ever lived. This is a movie you will enjoy over and over no matter how many times you watch it. It is perhaps the best movie ever made or ever will be made.

One of the best movies I've ever seen and my favorite with also my favorite Actor,, Al Pacino. I have seen this movie so many times I know the dialogue by heart. Ap Pacino is brilliant as blind. Watch him closely, because there is not one time that his eyes focus. That is nearly impossible to look blank and continue it for so long. I know the man was a brilliant actor but this truly showed his brilliance. Chris O'Donnel was also great as the companion, a kid basically trying to manage the brusque Colonel and then bring out the marshmellow in him. That's a rare talent. The Ferrari part was really good, but who doesn't melt duuring the tango scene. Who knew Pacino was such a great dancer. But my favorite part is still Pacino's speech at the end. Oh Yes, this is a two box kleenex movie.
