Description

Pete, a young orphan, runs away to a Maine fishing town with his best friend - a lovable, sometimes invisible dragon named Elliott! When they are taken in by a kind lighthouse keeper, Nora (Helen Reddy), and her father (the legendary Mickey Rooney), Elliott's prank playing lands them in big trouble. Then, when crooked salesmen try to capture Elliott for their own gain, Pete must attempt a daring rescue.

    I watched Pete's Dragon this morning at home on May 6, 2021 because I never watched this disney movie before. I always wanted to say it has been a great musical all of a sudden.

    I've loved this movie as a kid and still do! However, this is not the beautiful restoration the Blu-ray Disc got, this is the bad High-Flying Edition. So buyers beware!

    I saw this wonderful Disney movie in the Theater when it came out in 1977. I was 12 Yrs. old and just loved it from the start. Classic Disney blending of Animation and Live Action. You fall in love with Pete and his Dragon right from the start and all the way to the uplifting ending. This is a nice hearted movie with a very positive ending which you come to expect from Disney Films. I have read other reviews of people who did not like this film and even considered the mid to late 70's to be Disney's low point when it comes to full length feature films. I could not disagree more. Pete.s Dragon is a good example. A must see.
