The move has a great premise but falls well short of fair and balanced. In the movie the only good guys are demoncrats! That’s right! The same party that wants unquestionable rights to killing babies unborn or just born. Then that party of filth charades it in a lie of “republicans are taking control of your (women) body. Well here’s a dose of truth for you that “Dave” won’t tell you.

This is a pretty charming film, a lot like the American President although the dialog isn't as witty as that film. The reason for the less than stellar review is that the pictures has been enlarged with the sides cut off to fit your TV screen. I hate that! It takes extra effort to multilate movies like this, I can't understand why some movie hack distributer thinks they no better than the film makers. Apple has beem improving of late with this issue. I hope they can get an unmolested transfer to offer on itunes. As it is, I'm going to request a refund.

I never tire of this very funny movie with a message useful to most of our jaded politicians and even us as citizens. I make sure to watch it every year or so. I love everything about this thoughtful flick–the writing, direction, casting and acting! Dave is your average sort of bright educated guy, running a small unemployment agency, picking up extra cash with a side job effectively impersonating the President of the United States. One fateful day, Dave is called upon to come to the aid of his country. The results are wild and unpredictable, with some hilarious moments. Sigourney Weaver is endearing as the First Lady. Ben Kingsley is our esteemed underestimated Vice President sent off on wild goose chases out of the country. The White House aides do a lot of manipulating from differing perspectives. Even the President’s White House Secret Service agent has more influence than you’d ever find in the Treasury job description! The checks and balances of the Executive branch gone haywire! But Dave’s at the helm! He’s definitely in charge! Or is he? And so...???? Do it! ❤️🌎

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen it’s always a favorite with me and my wife

As long as you don’t take the premise seriously this is a very entertaining movie, and that’s why I go to the movies. As a comedy this is very well written, acted and directed. I would watch it again on a rainy day just to feel good.

This is an unbelievably poor production. Very unlikely scenario, and unconvincing roles. The cast is great, but the plot is lame and direction poor.

First time I saw it, it entertained me all the way... the story was good... comedy and drama. Kelvin Kline is a great actor!

What would you do if you could be President? That is the premise when Dave Kovic is hired to impersonate the President when he suffers a stroke. What changes could take place when the presidency meets the common man? Get ready for a laugh riot.

This movie is awesome! Kevin Kline is wonderful!
