Description

From the moment we are born, the institutions of the planet own us. They give us a number and enter us into a system that traps us and is so stealthy, most people don’t know it exists. From television to the internet, groceries to healthcare, and politics to religion, our lives are not our own.

This was truly the worst, most pretentious, uninspired documentary EVER MADE… SERIOUSLY, WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE… The poignant aspect to this is that the production team traps the buyer into their own aimless, disjointed, pedestrian approach that doesn’t discern fact from our mind’s basic fields of perception. "A False Reality” isn’t real at all, and, it’s deafeningly dishonest. It is merely contributing directly to, “the problem” without ever attempting to creatively sort through it and/or truly define it. It is fueled by wayward trappings of nonsensical prose using disorganized stockpile-footage blundering as scattered media to stir absolutely no form. One can free the mind at any moment and according to any nuance of experience… We can make ourselves exempt from time and enslavement at any instant, without question, according to our harnessing of thoughts in open perception… Consider “The Matrix” lessons, Christian Parenti’s Panopticon theory, or, use a breath of awareness and wisdom even simply according to Bob Marley for christ sakes… Don’t subscribe to this media-raped-stew of patronizing grotesquery….

I was very interested in this film based on the title and trailer only to be completely disappointed by its lack of substance. Quite literally, it is the voice of a male brit speaking about rather subjective psycho-social opinions. There is no supportive testimony from acadmics, no examples, no investgative comparison of opinions, data, etc. This is hardly a documentary. Save your money.

I love a great documentary with fact-based information and well-edited imagery and narration, as well as a broad scope of detail and opinion. Unfortunately, this had none of those things. The narrative was monotone and difficult to hear over the cacophony of the music. The time lapse editing of a handful of locations (L.A., Vegas, NYC, etc.) was a huge distraction to the point I could not finish watching, though gave it my best effort. A warning to those sensitive to frenetic motion on screen - it borders on panic attack fuel.
