How do you take 2 hotties and build such an awkward movie and relation? The writer & director really dropped the ball on this. The actors talents could have saved it but nope.. Waste.

A beautiful, honest, heartfelt movie to lose yourself in for a while. Endearing characters, well acted, the perfect tone and touch to everything. Costume, sets, every detail attended to. I return to it over and over when I need a lift and want to believe there are happy endings possible. Maybe, just maybe.......

This was just a lovely movie. Alan Rickman did an excellent job, very well directed. This was a beautiful role for Kate Winslet, and she shines. I utterly disagree with the rotten tomato reviews, which only serve the critic’s rhetorical ego-driven pedantic verbiage. These kinds of movies slip through the cracks and people forget about them, but this one is worth seeing. Give it a chance.

With “A Little Chaos,” Alan Rickman has crafted an exquisite and cohesive explanation of “Recursive Algorithm Theory.” Scenes are moving paintings woven together into elegant tapestries, expressing images of the French Royal Court by Hyacinthe Rigaud and hardworking craftsmen by Jean-François Millet. There is a shining spinning dancing Easter egg for modern mathematical philosophers who are approximating solutions to the “Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle”: by the end of the film, Mr. Rickman has encoded the calculus of “Phosphorescence.”

Some movies make you cry, some movies make you bite your nails and hold your breath, some make you think, some puzzle you with it's ending... and some movies are art, like this one, it's a masterpiece... it's not supposed to be like anything else and if you hold your judgement, you will see true beauty, love and magic in it.

I so wanted to like this film. I forwarded to the end. Boring.

I loved this film for several reasons. First I am a fan of all four main actors. Second, the story was deeper than I expected and, of course, wonderfully acted. The setting and costumes were also fantastic. I already watched it twice and thought the second tie was better than the first. I recommend it to all who like a Chaos in their Romance.

My roommate and I thought this movie was fun, but we felt like there was not enough believable build up to the romance. We loved all the actors involved, and it was beautiful for sure. I think I was also bothered that it wasn't even an embellishment on history, but rather a complete invention. But I am a Versailles snob. :)
