I was just a kid when this happened. I really enjoyed the show. There were times I was rooting for the Branch Davidians and times I was hoping to see David T. Leave and see his mom who was outside. If I’m not mistaken, the entire script was based off two books from Gary (FBI) and David T (Survivor)....this why we get both sides portrayed the way they were. One interesting fact that I almost wonder if they chose to omit from this was the fact that Tim McVay was outside Mt. Caramel during the standoff which would carry over to the OK city bombing. But yes, it’s definitely worth the watch, and really hoped to see a physical copy released.

Did you like That original Story Version of OJ ? Well this is The same thing but with WACO, and a LOT more entertaining. TBH i was maybe 11 or 12 when this happened so i vaguely recall these events. The Acting was FANTASTIC when you compare the mannerisms/speech patters of actor-Dave Koresh/the Real David Koresh he comes to life on the screen. The Mini Documentary that is included (about 26 minutes total runtime) Shows that there was MAJOR attention to detail, the Compound looks exactly like the real one, its like they built the set from exact measurements. There are some minor anacronisms that can easily be overlooked, but overall the productions Values are VERY stunning, nothing cheesey or over-the-top, and no terrible CG. John Leguiziyamo (who i even forgot was in this when i bought this) is AMAZING, OMG i love me sum John Legizzizamo's! This Show is so engrossing you will yell at the sceen, and the cliff hanger episodes will have you READY to click on the next episode, the Qaulity of HD video and 5.1 Audio REALLY sells this feature. i had to take off a Star because of unoriginal writing/direction where they Start the entire show in the middle of an intense scene and then GO " 6 months Earlier" - how many shows/movies feel like they have to do this to grab your attention ?? This show will have you question what it means to be American, and do we really live in a Police state where the government seeks control by force and fear?? or was it just a simple misunderstanding?? THIS show was so good i would put it up there with Breaking Bad, Fargo, and Dexter. 6 Episodes seems kinda short, but it tells the entire story nicely, my ownly regret is there is no Epilouge so you just have to kinda be ok with the abrupt ending. i don't get all the 1 stars, there is no real political message in this. maybe people want to believe the police have our best intrests and rights in mind, or maybe they want to believe the media always presents an objective view of whats going on... lol

This show seems to glamorize the Koresh cult. It was a terrible debacle and mistake on the government/FBI/ATF’s part. However, it’s no reason to glamorize what this cult was doing. Bad and immoral on all sides can be true at once. It’s for sure entertaining and the acting is well done. But “based on a true story” is generous as far as this interpretation is concerned.

Again we see history re-written to fit a current political narrative. I lived during those times and this is not an accurate portrayal.

After prior hatchet jobs I'm pleased that this has been a fairly even handed treatment. Will be interested to see how the last episode turns out.

This is a fascinating story and the series really well done and acted. I binged it and and am now eager for episode 5. Excellent television.

I guarantee you that those negative reviews were either from the Feds or their families. Notice! They don't give a single reason other than an activist actor? That's EXACTLY what a bureaucrat would say. THIS IS THE BEST THING HOLLYWOOD's put out in decades. It took some real guts to do this... AND PLEASE NOTICE THE ATF AGENT IN THE REVELATIONS SERIES... They are trained to sound convincing, but what he says makes no sense? Oh poor fed??? Yeah... You got a boo-boo when you attacked US citizens? Yeah, we're your boss, and you don't come charging into our homes with weapons. Watch and realize! Without firearms... We are literally sitting ducks, with no way to defend ourselves against the power corruption of bureaucratic TYRANNY! It may not be you now, but it might just be later, maybe your google search history reveals a thought crime? Don't EVER let the govt tell you to give up your only protection. It is our responsibility to those who've died to ensure we defend the constitution from the govt. If you think we can trust the govt to NOT kill innocent ppl? Need only watch this.

This story will anger you from both sides. A terrible tragedy that should have never happened. I am genuinely shocked that the Paramount network aired a series that tells so much of the true story behind Waco and how reckless the FBI was without flinching at Koresh's terrible behavior. It is a human story that will anger and sadden you. A little bit of the writing can be clunky as they try to get important details out but they more than make up for it. The performances are absolutely top notch across the board. This is not escapism. It is dramatic and powerful storytelling of a nasty chapter in this country's history.

It may be "based on a true story," but obviously it isn't the true story.

After watching the newest documentary about what happened at Mt. Carmel to the Branch Davidians in 1993 I was absolutly floored by what I saw. Regaurdless of what you thought happened prior to February 28, 1993 at Mt. Carmel, what happened after was murder. The world got to see what the ATF and FBI wanted them to see then, but now we get to see what actually happened. Watch the documentary and then watch the series.
