    Great show
  • Easily the most daring of the NCIS shows

While NCIS is still the best and Los Angeles the consistently most action packed, New Orleans is the most daring while still adhering to the formula of the flagship original. Whether it’s promoting the star to a higher office making him constantly at odds with them system even when he’s TRYING to play by the rules, introducing a trying to go legit half brother or adding in the physical embodiment of death in the form of a beautiful woman that constantly haunts Pride, the series isn’t beyond adding offbeat choices to keep things just a little bit unpredictable all the time. But the real draw is Bakula. The whole cast is solid, but the charismatic and likable Bakula manages to play Pride as a man always motivated to help people but constantly making choices that you know are just going to get him into deeper and deeper trouble despite being a wealth of wisdom for the people around him. He’s his own worst enemy while still being a rock for his loved ones. He’s like the boss you always dreamed of taking you under his wing, but also a guy the guy that will get his hands a bit dirty or bloody if he needs to. To be all that and not feel cliche is admirable.

The drama is false; the writing is poor; the bad guys are too big for this little team. This show has become about Dwayne Pride. Too much drama for not much and way too much exposition to instead of action. I quit watching once before tof this reason. History is repeating itself with me.
