Description

After Coop finds a gigantic robot rotting in a Jersey junkyard, he rebuilds it and creates the ultimate ride. But he has no idea how wild a ride! When the robot’s creator, Kiva, arrives from the future searching for her M.E.G.A.S. XLR creation, a race of evil aliens, bent on destruction, follows her to The Garden State! And that’s pretty much when Coop’s world goes a little nuts. OK, a lot nuts. He, Kiva, and his bud Jamie have to defend the earth from alien bounty hunters, satellite eating space monsters, and the menacing Gorath, leader of the evil alien race known as Glorft! And you thought a gear head’s life was easy. As if.

one of the best tv shows of my childhood maybe the best!!! I hate it when things get complicated and a great show gets cut off becaus of something stupid. this is the full package anything a cartoon lover would want out of a show the creativity for its time, the idea was original the characters were awesome and very realistic in there behavior, like who doesn't relate to coop (a guy that just wants to have fun eat great food and play some video games). come on cartoon network you made a new season of samurai jack and it was incredible the way that cartoon ended we would love to see the same with Megas XLR.

This is a show that combines everything you loved when watching films about giant monsters & robots. Best part is, it takes place is New Jersey of all places!!! A must watch!

If you're looking for a show that features a manchild inadvertantly saving the world in a giant robot alongside another manchild and a fiery-haired soldier from the future, then this is literally the only road that'll lead you to just that. Megas XLR is packed to its chrome rims with giant robot fighting action focused around the one with a muscle car for a head, equal parts jabs and homage to geek and car culture, and the unapolagetic destruction of all things M, I mean, PoPTV. If you're anything like me, your greasy-faced, sporadically hairy inner adolescent will squeal just from hearing the guitar rifs play to the reving up of eighty feet of petrol-powered blue robot in the opening theme. Pick this up and you'll have no regrets devolving into that one family member who sits around in some basement with this show on repeat.

Do you like violence, heavy metal, punk rock, giant robots, firearms, video games, muscle cars and destructive chaos? If yes, then you're a good person and deserve to watch this amazing show. If no, then why are you still breathing?

I wish I knew why cartoon network cancelled this show but at least we can still watch it.

My little brother and I are rediscovering this parody of anime and pop culture after the 10 years it's been since it first aired. Having grown up in the interim, I can from experience say that this is a show for all ages. It was hysterically funny when my brother and I were 8 and 14, and 10 years later it is an entirely new, more intelligent, and honestly better experience. The humor is both over-the-top ridiculous and subtly brilliant. If iTunes gave the option, I'd award as many stars as the buildings, cars, cities, alien robots, alien ships, satellites, and space stations that are intentionally or accidentally destroyed by the title robot in the show. I cannot give it a higher praise.
