No shade intended at the English-language dubbed version, but the original Japanese audio presents the film as it was intended to be viewed. Thank for making the original available with English subs. Absolutely perfect and groundbreaking upon its release.

This IS NOT a tv show its a Animated movie but its epic for its time and was the ONLY anime that could keep up with Disney’s frame rates at the time. NOT a TV show, no multi episodes just a single movie.

Movie deserves 5 stars but I won’t buy it on iTunes until it’s listed correctly.

I was first introduced to Katsuhiro Ôtomo's Akira when it was it's original manga. When I heard that it was being made into a film, I was very excited. I was fortunate to see it at a sci-fi convention just prior to it's release. If you are a fan of anime, it is required for you to see this film. (well, not really required, but highly suggested.) The fluidity of the animation puts Ôtomo's work above all others and opened a door to modern anime. Katsuhiro Ôtomo is the Akira Kurosawa of anime. I'm not sure why iTunes decided that it was a TV episode. It isn't.
  • A must see!

It's nice to have access to this anime classic but it's not an episode. But if that's my biggest gripe then it's a win.
