It may have been a bit emotional, causing people to blame her parents, but at the end of the day it's nice to know that she is at peace. RIP Amy Winehouse.

This was a gorgeous movie and it made me feel sympathetic towards Amy. So much information that even I as an Amy Winehouse fan, didn't even know about! Fabulous work from the director!

I guess I was never a fan... but this was a great doc that showed her talent, her personality, and the down sides of intense fame. It is really sad she couldn't overcome her addictions. A great documentary.

5 stars. Without a doubt

This documentary depicts the too short life of Amy Winehouse. It takes you to the heart and plunges you in the life of this young woman with her magnificent voice. I didn't really know Amy's work, except her famous Rehab... I was so surprised to discover her voice... I heard the first song in this documentary, and I sat up....I was mesmerized until the end. The producer tells about Amy from different point of views and we are right there not only with the different narrators, we are also right there with Amy, feeling, laughing, hurting with her, whether she is talking or we are just looking at her pictures... Each of her songs have now taken this personal quality, and I won't ever again hear Amy's voice without feeling like I've known and lost her. I am glad I watched this and appreciate one of the greatest jazz artist of our times. She was a bright flame and burnt out too fast.

What an amazing songstress! Caliber of Aretha, Billie, Ella, no less. The world lost a rare jewel and we just barely got a taste of what she was capable of. Thanks for this documentary. It helps us understand the deep pain and struggle of this legend and paints a picture of a girl many can relate to. Just couldn’t escape her demons. Rest in peace. . . Your music will live on and be loved for many years to come. I know Back to Black will always be one of my top 10.

Separation of work and family life essential for some to survive. Many actors,actress's and musicians used to demand alias names to protect privacy and family life. Makes me wonder how many recent deaths due to lack of privacy? Lack of family life? Every one needs down time away from stress of making the money to survive. To thrive extra care needs to be in the planning of a STAR. Women have weaker vessels , meaning weaker bodies. Women on Tour as musicians need more sleep. The self mutilating tattoos should have been a clue to all AMY was in distress. The next STARS need an alias. Plus a studio in home.

This movie showed in Amy's own words and songs what can happen when someone who simply wants to share their gifts becomes a celebrity. She clearly wasn't up to the challenges that celebrity brought, and it was her undoing. I wish she had been able to handle it better, because when we lost her, we lost a great voice and a great talent. When she got on stage and refused to sing, I think it was her final attempt at telling the money machine that was driving her life into oblivion that she wanted to get off and find herself again. I'm still sad for her, and people like her, who share their gifts and who get swept away in the current of celebrity. Only those who have a support system that honors their wishes and understands their need to keep work separate from family life manage to last. Except for very few friends, she didn't have that system in place. Ah, well. The documentary was superb. They allowed the story to tell itself without much interference other than excellent editing. Well done.
