I really enjoyed the book and I know movies are a little different than books but this is like the Cliff Notes version of the Cliff Notes of the book (Yes I meant to put that twice) it’s possible if you’ve never read the book you MIGHT enjoy it but I find it hard to believe any fan of the book will like the movie version.

I think that the book was better, yet I’m no expert. I think you should all watch the movie and shut up

I saw the movie on a whim and really liked it. Then I had to read the book when I found out it was a book and I think the movie was pretty spot on. Loved the characters and cast. I felt the fast pace in the book as I did in the movie, almost like your missing out on information of some sort, but you’re really not. They cut out a lot of wasted explaining & got right to the good stuff.

Honestly the movie was not even close to being as good as the book. Although the movie covered most of the main points of the book, they still left out a lot of the parts that would make the movie make more sense and enjoyable. All in all if they didn’t plan to make the movie almost exactly like the book they shouldn’t have even tried to make the movie. As it stands now this movie is a relatively different story compared to the book.

I watch this kind of movie more-or-less knowing what I'm getting in to, so generally take enjoyment from the fun special effects. However, it seems like the whole budget was blown in the first fifteen minutes, and after that, the story wanders aimlessly to a fizzle-out conclusion. The inconsistencies would be the stuff of gag reels for any other film. At least one character appears and disappears as needed, without explanation, to move along what little story there is. The whole thing feels like a fifty-page short fiction concept that was stretched very poorly into a feature-length film. Barely worth the inexpensive rental price.
