This is a Steven Segal flick right?...what did you expect? Oscar performances, accurate portrayl of a military opartion, a gripping, cathartic narrative? Walking into any Stevan Segal flick I expect a few things, guns, explosions and weak dialouge. I also never forget to leave "disbelief" at the doorstep. With that in mind this is one of his better movies (secret - it's just like all the rest). My advice is to turn off the phone, order a pizza and sit on the couch for 90 minutes with this movie. If you keep the points I mentioned above in mind you'll have a great evening.

The worst Steven Seagal film I've ever seen. When I was younger a film with Seagal in it meant it was an action thriller that could be watched again and again. Unfortunately this action hero of the past isn't keeping up with the times. Also this film is poorly constructed with a lack luster and fragmented narrative. Not to mention it's military aspects lack any form of authenticity. For example the opening scene with Steven Seagal providing over watch for the squad below...the sound effects of his rifle firing mimic the dated impression of a suppressor - sounding more like a cheap laser effect from the 80s meanwhile his rifle doesn't even have a suppressor on it. Now let's talk about how this is a military film striving for an authentic story...tell me why Steven Seagal is wildly over weight with a nonchalant attitude during an urban warfare operation? Finally the dialogue is diluted as it contains nothing but meaningless banter for the most part. For example: "Your names Detroit because you're good with cars right?" Like what? Really? At least there is the cliché invasive journalist...it's not like that character isn't played out in every military movie from the past ten years. ...I couldn't even finish this film, so props to you if you can make it all the way through. As for my recommendation this gets a solid "Not cool, Not fun".

Is it me or Seagal lost his mind and dignity and selling trash stories trying to get a last penny for his name?
