Description

When Krisha shows up at her sister’s Texas home on Thanksgiving morning, her close and extended family greet her with a mixture of warmth and wariness. Almost immediately, a palpable unease permeates the air, one which only grows in force as Krisha gets to work cooking the turkey and trying to make up for lost time by catching up with her various relatives, chief among them her nephew, Trey. As Krisha's attempts at reconciliation become increasingly rebuffed, tension and suspicion reach their peak, with long-buried secrets and deep-seated resentments coming to the fore as everyone becomes immersed in an emotionally charged familial reckoning.

Slow boring uneventful wasted piece of film. How could a movie that has linear characters and "real" acting blow people's minds? There is a tiny plot that doesn't unfold or go anywhere. What a piece of crap.

If you want a trip to Hell and back, this film is for you. For those of us with a Krisha in our lives, this movie is almost impossible to sit through—WAY TOO MANY TRIGGERS. If you don't, I can tell you that Krisha's exist in the real world and cause ever bit as much pain and upset as the lead character in this film. Be thankful you didn't have one in your life.

This movie really captures the point of view of the addict. Why do addicts keep making the same mistakes? This movie puts you in their shoes. Not a film for the masses, but I loved it.

The directing in this film is outstanding. Fairchild is also perfect for this film. It's a must see film.

This film is searing. It’s a magnificent achievement, but it is not something to be watched at leisure. If your life has been touched by addiction or family rifts, you may find it triggering. It was a painful watch for me, but I’m so glad I did.
