Undeniably one of the best LGBT movies made! I would say one of my top 3 favorites of all time. Heartwarming, captivating, and real! Must see!
  • Questionable Casting?

It’s about high schoolers. However these teens appear to be pushing 30. Though there was age progression From the start, was very unconvincing casting - wise. It killed the movie for me, I simply could not get over how old (for teens) the characters appeared. All though; Acting was great, Strong storyline, heartbreaking in its reality. Though a slightly unconvincing progression of the early love interest, very fast, unconvincingly & forward in an always homophobic world ESPECIALLY in the 70’s. Compared to 2018.

Love the movie and story line. The moral lesson is to discourage unsafe sexual promiscuity. Infecting others could kill the infected individuals. It is like a murder. Tim killed his partner, John unintentionally by having unsafe sexual promiscuity due to his selfishness which infecting him and then infecting his partner who loved him very much. John never wanted to have an open relationship. Hopefully, the movie will teach all viewers to not having unsafe sexual promiscuity.

It wasn't perfect, but the acting was super strong and it managed to deliver what it had intended. It's not Torch Song Trilogy or Philadelphia, but it's a solid piece of work.

I remember those times now, when I lived in New York. Hospital wards where everyone died. It waas the darkest thing I ever experienced. Exccellent film. Captures the innocense that was a big part of Aids and gay men. Small time buys having a spree in the big city. College kids with 3 sexual experiences. I think it ccourageous of the ffilm makers to show so much of the illness. Still painful to watch.

The movie was good, my only complaint is that it skipped around too much. But it was well put together and the acting was top notched. Definitely recommend it.
