Description

Chloe and Jeff meet and fall in love on the Fourth of July. By Labor Day they’re ready to move in together. Friends and family think they’re the perfect couple. It’s sheer bliss. But on Halloween they fight and break up. Then, oh snap! They realize they’ve just catapulted themselves into a holiday nightmare!  Faced with the hell of spending the big three holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s not only alone, but at the center of one pity party after another, they decide not to tell anyone they’ve broken up. It’s a simple plan; all they have to do is pretend to be in love to make it through the holidays unscathed.  As they smile and fake their way through one holiday party after another, their “pretend” romance intensifies and, ironically, they find that everyone else’s “perfect” relationships aren’t so perfect after all. “HOLIDAY BREAKUP” is a story about how, sometimes, by going through the motions, you can arrive at the one thing we’re all searching for. The truth.

I loved Holiday Breakup! The highly expressive super talented Manon Mathews is perfectly matched with the toned-down, stressed out Shawn Roe. The scenarios and conversations they have are so typical of relationships; yet handled so deftly with humor, they really shed light on topics that can be difficult. This movie zips along, keeps you laughing, and is filled with delightful twists and turns, always endearing. I highly recommend it for friends, couples, even teenagers who are trying to figure out what a relationship is. Bravo to writer/director Temple Mathews!!!

I really enjoyed the movie, it brought out a very refreshing and positive point of view in a age of cynicism. It also had fairly good jokes/comedy but maybe there should be a little more clown jokes in the next movie. 😜

Nothing caps a romantic Holiday like watching glamorous people fall in love . And if you find yourself dateless, don’t despair the likes of Manon Mathews make for good company.

Great film, has the potential to become one of the holiday classics that we all look back at and watch years from now. The story behind it has every emotion and couldn't have been told better. Wish there's a part 2 that involves Easter and 4th July 🙏🏻 maybe with a baby involved ? 😏
  • Very cute

It's a great reminder that no relationship is perfect. But the one you work hard for and love can be as close as possible. It was really cute and entertaining. Loved it 😊.

This nicely done movie showcases some great new talent. The two stars, Manon Mathews and Shawn Roe, have great chemistry, and a sharp comic sense. The story is funny, the supporting characters are terrific (as well as very funny), and the moral is uplifting and hopeful. I recommend it highly!
