Buddy Solitaire is a struggling comedian on the late night circuit. The only job he can get is teaching comedy to the mentally ill. Buddy discovers, however, that by helping these patients, he can get closer and closer to healing himself.

BUDDY SOLITAIRE is a heartfelt film about laughter and mental health, not necessarily in that order. The story is about an out-of-work standup comedian named Buddy who teaches a class at a mental institution. He has a tough time with the patients, until he’s able to connect with them about his own troubled history. And through the patients, he’s able to heal himself. It's a wonderful film, full of incredible performances. If you enjoy films like SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK or ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST, you’ll enjoy BUDDY SOLITAIRE.
