Don't understand the bad reviews the major companies gave this movie. This was such a outstanding surprise ! Great plot, didn't push religion in our face like most exorcism movies, and all acting was rather spot on. Better watched alone though as all horror flicks should be watched. (He would of gave it two thumbs up)

Should have been rated higher on RT but in any case it's a solid movie with a nice story and plenty of suspense. Worth watching

Let me start by saying, this movie isn't scary. However, it has an interesting story and Eckhart gave a great performance. Overall, I enjoyed it and thought it was a solid movie. And it is WAY better than "The Bye Bye Man." I wasn't expecting much for a horror movie released in December that no one saw that the studio sat on releasing for 3 years, however I'm pleased to say it was actually quite enjoyable.

It's more of a made-for-TV movie. Has a thin plot and no scares.

It was okay. It wasnt boring and it- for the most part- made sense. However, I felt that it definetly got cheesy at times. I have seen worse however and some of the scenes were interesting. That being said, there is something lacking with this film, and while it isnt the worst it sometimes seems to fall flat. I would take it with a grain of salt- maybe rent it? Or wait until it is out on cable (especially if you are a "movie snob").

Not scary. Definitely shouldn't have marketed it as a horror film. That being said the movie is still good. I really liked it. The acting was great, the affects were nice, the story was pretty neat and I found the whole thing a lot of fun. I can't wait to watch this again and I hope they make a sequel with almost the same cast. Many people didn't like this film but if people always liked the same thing we wouldn't need so many flavors of ice cream. People like different things. This movie kept the plot moving and sure had a few holes in it, but what movie doesn't? Since they started us in on this world and got all the introductory stuff out of the way they can really break lose if they do a sequel. Instead of having to work explanations of how into the plot they can just let the story flow, though I feel they did a fairly good job of it in this film. Very good. I wanna watch it again right now!
