But the highlight for me was “The Birthday Party”. That was fun. 4 stars worth of fun. Overall the rest of the movie kinda bummed you out or just missed some chances at truly entertaining you. Birthday Party could have been a little longer compared to the others because it was so fun. The first short in the movie was DARK! Seriously, I have seen some messed up stuff IRL and I thought that first film was really dark. When you thought it was over, it kept going on and on. Sometimes shock value just isn’t enough for a horror film. Leaving stuff to the imagination can be much better. In the case of this short, only one thing was left to the imagination, but really dimmed in comparison to what you were shown.

If you are into fun horror, then I think you will like this movie. It certainly is different from everything out there. The stories aren't masterpieces, but they were good enough for me to buy it after I rented it.

I'm guessing it's suppose to be artsy? But yeah none of these had good story lines. Left you with to many questions. The first story would be a good one if it could been explained

I thought this was actually pretty good. The short movies had a very distinct plot, this was a totally different idea that was brilliantly thought out. Kudos to those involved in this masterpiece.

Not the best but just alright. One step up from tales from the crypt.

I am updating my review which was appreciate that a collabaration was done but was disappointed because I am someone who works in horror film (and I watch all ofthem as well) and felt like I would have done more. HOWEVER, I want to be honest and share that my feeling has since changed because as time went by I could not get one of the stories out of my head. It just kept coming up, I kept thinking about it, pondering it. THAT tells me I was partly wrong and I wanted to give credit where credit is due. If you make me remember, then that is saying something. And you did. I WILL say I love the casting in the 3rd story - those ladies are my favorites in Indie film right now and I think they are really going somewhere. But the story they were in wasn't special.
  • How did this make it past an idea????

I'm giving this movie two stars because i think female-driven horror is an underexplored and compelling subgenre, but this anthology is NOT the place to start. the stories are just bad - some are juvenile and others could have been cool but were just not executed with any depth. on top of that none of them is scary, and it was sold as a horror movie! a few of the segments (im thinking of the birthday party in particular) are shot beautifully and are wonderful to look at, but in the end this movie is not worth your time. there is potential in all the segments, but i dont think a single one of them rose to that potential.
  • horrible!!!!
