While the ending twist was something I didn’t see coming, the absolute lack of hope mixed with the mediocre aspects of the rest of the film has quite literally made me mad at myself for buying this film.
  • Oh wait I've seen this before.

DO NOT waste your time or money on this laughably far fetched movie. No frigin way no frigin how could a microscopic organism have that much strength, grow that fast, or have even a zillionth billionth of the intelligence this star fish alien exhibits. Seriously, this thing grows from a tiny little thing to a tentacled creature that can barely fit in an escape pod in a matter of hours?!!! I can hardly believe anyone in Hollywood risked their money to produce this, though I can imagine Ryan Reynolds pleading to the director to kill him off quickly! This is undoubtedly the most ridiculously outlandish movie I’ve ever seen and an embarrassment to the space and science community! 68% on rotten tomatoes??!! Wow, the critics must have been paid off big time or taking some mind altering drugs. Seriously, the best part of the movie is the music building to a crescendo as the first scene cuts to the title then rapidly down hill from there. No, I should say free fall from there. Not that it was even looking good from the get go... the first scene already had me doubting whether to continue watching. The female commander of the station seemed incompetent and naive. Like they would really risk a multi billion dollar space station by trying to retrieve an out of control probe returning from Mars? Lol... I expected the catch of the probe would result in total destruction of the space station similar to what we saw in Gravity. That would at least have provided a rationale for the low fuel emergency later in the movie! You've been warned!

Picked this up while it was on sale and gave it a whirl. I love space movies and creature features so of course I had to jump on it. It’s definitely not perfect and there are some questionable choices made by the crew, but I can forgive it. It’s fun and thrilling and well-shot. But lordt, that ending was kind of a mess lol. I still recommend. Definitely a 4 out of 5 type of film.

This movie just felt rushed. The acting was ok, CGI was actually kinda good. Overall it was ok. Not a movie I want to watch a 2nd time unless it’s on. It’s not 5 star worthy obviously. It feels like a typical alien movie except without big aliens, rushed, if you can’t find something you enjoy to watch one day. Give this a chance.

By life is a terrible movie
The actors were emotionless and terrible. Their actions defied all logic, and the movie itself was extremely boring. One star is unfortunately the lowest I can rate this
  • Ugh!!!

I’ve already seen “Alien”! Other than that pillaged plot, it wasn’t totally bad. If you know nothing about Alien you may enjoy it.
  • Fun
