A rare emotional glimpse into lives in small town America.

I loved this movie. Such a wonderful ode that feeling of nostalgia for your hometown town mixed with an inherent understanding that it’s time to leave. Enchanting. Side note... if I knew how to change my iTunes username I’d do so without question.

John Cho is probably one of the most underrated actors of his generation. In this movie, he does a fantastic job of providing the audience with a character which we can all relate to, but really don’t want to admit we do The movie revolves around two characters at very different stages in their life. The moderately successful, Korean business man; Jin (John Cho) and the young, seeker of deeper purpose Cassie (Haley Lu Richardson). The acting is superb and newcomer Richardson holds her own against the veteran Cho feeding of his intensity and providing it back in a splendid way. The characters portrayed by Rory Culkin and Michelle Forbes do an excellent job at helping the audience gain a more vivid understanding of Cassie’s world and her character. And what indie darling would be complete without a cameo by the always mesmerizing Parker Posey? The ending of the movie is incomplete and leaves the viewer wondering about the future of the two-main character they invested over an hour and a half of their time in. However, the acting, cinematography and direction are a good enough return in my opinion.

A surprise 5 out of 5 stars. Quality script, acting, direction, cinematography and subject. A remarkably interesting story about the beauty that is right before us, which we will not see if our eyes are not open to it. The young female protagonist has her eyes wide open while others around her seem not to see the wonders of the world in which they live. I watched it twice.

How deceptively simple life can be as one event leads to a meeting between 2 people and opens a door for one, which deserved to be opened. Each scene like a modern postcard. Intelligent filme. Stablity and grace. Worthy.

This film almost put me to sleep. I only bought it because Haley Lu Richardson is in it. But I was disappointed. I somehow managed to watch about 50 minutes of the film before I decided I needed to watch something else with people who were alive, where there was some emotion in the actors in the film. I tried to watch the special features but they only made it worse and confirmed my decision that it's a waste of time and money. Don't waste your money like I did!

Slow paced, charachter driven plot with many amazing shots of scenery and buildings. Everything about this film works in a very simple, wonderful way. John Cho acting stands stands out, but everyone else is very close behind him. Well worth the rent.

Amateur. In every way. Direction, mise en scene, script, dialogue. Not worth the time unless you like to watch beginners.
