Description

While on a trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia in 2007, Jeff Bowden encounters a photograph of a refugee boy taken during the war in Kosovo. Driven by this haunting image, Bowden sets out to find the child. His journey takes him from Texas to Paris, and ultimately to the post-war culture of the Balkans where he combines forces with an experienced wartime fixer. Weaving together stories of the war, the now-deceased photojournalist, Alexandra Boulat, and the search for the boy, A Single Frame is a testament to the power of photography and the belief that every life matters.

This film is such an exemplary depiction on how a moment in time, captured by a single photo, can really impact your heart and mind. Whether you are a great photographer or even more, an empathetic human being in general - you should watch this film. It is a great documentary, and if you are like me, will compel you to not only revisit the atrocities in Kosovo - but also spur you to action - especially considering all the others in the world going through horrific situations RIGHT NOW.
