A valiant pilot whom the Air force deems to old to fly fighter planes finds a way to fight for his country in this true adventure of a real-life World War II ace. After the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor, the United States Air Force tells 34-year-old pilot Robert Scott that he's too old to fly in combat. Scott accepts an assignment flying over the Himalayas to supply China--the closest assignment he can find to an active battle zone. There, he meets the legendary Flying Tigers, American flyers who have been helping to defend China against the Japanese invaders. Through determination and skill, Scott convinces the Flying Tigers to allow him to fight the enemy.
