In 1876, Jesse James disbands the James/Younger Gang after the disastrous Northfield, Minnesota raid. He tries to give up the outlaw life but soon hears the call of the Black Train. Jesse develops a plot to destroy the Black Train, a plan that leads him to the edge of madness.
