The Escape

I totally got and understood this film. Gemma really did a fantastic job of portraying the depths of where depression can really go. I am so positive every mother that has stayed home with their children for one or more years will understand the despair, loneliness and isolation this character felt in the film. It's amazing how much acting Gemma did with her eyes alone, truly captured the emotions. Admitedly the film can move a bit slowly, but it was overall well done. If you could not relate to someone suffering from depression or loneliness in any way or have not ever had these emoitions in your life, you hands down would not understand this film! Otherwise there's a takeaway for everyone. ESPECIALLY those in marriages with children and extra especially stay at home parents.

Really hate I made the mistake and paid to watch this and then quit it after 30 minutes. It’s just that bad.

Plodded along at a painfully slow boring pace. Woman unhappy goes to Paris, has a one night stand, realizes she can’t make it on her own goes home again still unhappy. That sums it up and wasn’t worth the rental fee! Rotten Tomatoes has some of the worse reviewers ever. When will they realize it’s not their job to analyze the story but to give an honest review based on what most viewers would enjoy? After all it our money that’s being spent based on their reviews!
