Description

An unseen evil haunts the homestead in this chilling, folkloric tale of madness, paranoia, and otherworldly terror. Lizzy (Caitlin Gerard) is a tough, resourceful frontierswoman settling a remote stretch of land on the 19th-century American frontier. Isolated from civilization in a desolate wilderness where the wind never stops howling, she begins to sense a sinister presence that seems to be borne of the land itself, an overwhelming dread that her husband (Ashley Zukerman) dismisses as superstition. When a newlywed couple arrives on a nearby homestead, their presence amplifies Lizzy's fears, setting into motion a shocking chain of events. Masterfully blending haunting visuals with pulse-pounding sound design, director Emma Tammi evokes a godforsaken world in which the forces of nature come alive with quivering menace.

I think that the main character was dipping into the medicine box way too often. I didn't enjoy it.

This movie reminds me a lot of The Witch and other A24 horror movies. It isn’t a jump scare monster movie but a steady paced psychological horror. The acting of Caitlin Gerard (Main Character) is phenomenal is my opinion. Overall a good movie. Give it a shot.

I sincerely hope this director never works again, so we're not subjected to the stupid jump scares where nothing ever happens, this one is an absolute ZERO!

I dont know why people think its a good idea to make such confusing timelines in movies these days, its not even origional and is very annoying. This movie was predictable and not scary (coming from someone who has seen a lot of horrror movies)

A 5 yo could of written a better movie. Sound effects were much louder than the actors whispering. I didnt even finish the movie.

Great movie to watch alone on a dark and stormy day. Was on the edge of my seat quite a bit.

This was one of the greatest and scariest movies i've seen in a long time. I can't believe this got a 57% on rotten tomatoes! Completely worth watching and I couldn't be more satisfied with this movie.
