Thirteen-year-old orphan Maria Merryweather (Dakota Blue Richards, The Golden Compass) is sent away to live with her eccentric uncle, Sir Benjamin (Ioan Gruffudd, Fantastic Four) at the mysterious Moonacre Manor.
