Framing John DeLorean

I probably would’ve watched this had it not been for the actor portraying John DeLorean being more of a train wreck than the actual person. No thanks.

I just kept thinking of SNL Trump skits. No matter what Baldwin does he’ll always be type cast as a Trump comedian. Save your money

So this is one of those movies that you keep thinking about it and imagine yourself going back to the 80’s. Alec Baldwin played John delorean perfectly. One of those movies you want to have in your collection. a++++

Why they have Alec Baldwin in this mAkes no sense? He adds no value ....

Just rented this on a whim... as not knowing much about delorean, I thought everything was good including the re-enactments. I would have liked more in depth exploring of his actual fraud. Baldwin was good and deloreans son was good. Thanks!

To my knowledge, this is the first movie, biopic, interview mashup of a movie to be written about John and his legacy. I had a chance to preview part of this film at the DCS 2018 event. Many first person interviews and footage are brought to light and tell the aftermath of John and most importantly those closest to him that were effected by his actions. Seeing the DeLorean family and getting their input really sheds light on how much they had to deal with while John was at his lowest. There are some other things I would have probably liked to have included, such as the tale that there was a document requiring John’s signature waiting for him to save his company the day he flew to the hotel to meet with the FBI (among other things), but there were things brought to my attention like the outing of Bill Collins being almost ignored. I only wish to meet these people in person at one of the DeLorean Car Show events and get more input from them directly. As a young owner, it’s a privilege to have these first-party sources available to us and vital to ask them the appropriate questions before they leave this Earth. Before other people criticize the re-enactments or those who may be bias to the film, I want to underline how important this film is. Is it perfect? Perhaps not. But what’s important is the information told is from first hand encounters and it is accurate, which trumps any acting done for demonstration purposes. For car historians, some may argue that John DeLorean was a Preston Tucker and a Hollywood big shot rolled into one. But unlike Tucker, John lived a lifestyle Hollywood directors dream of as well as build a car company from the ground up. Not only to have his dream turn into a nightmare, but to be reincarnated by the same Hollywood fame that turned his stainless creation into a time machine in the movies.. immortalizing it forever by the film and it’s stainless body. For those who own the car and those who know the DeLorean as just a time machine, I HIGHLY encourage you to give this movie a look. Amazing performance from Alec Baldwin and big thanks to Tamir Ardon who was kind enough to give DeLorean owners a sneak peek at last years DCS show. I’m speechless of how well this film came out. Thank you again for giving the attention to detail that was needed for this and I look forward to purchasing this film again in a physical copy (if one is printed). Mason, 22 -VIN 4693

The whole re-enactment footage mixed with the behind the scenes footage of the actors preparing for their roles was completely self indulgent. Baldwin’s make up was terrible.

Being a huge fan of the car, I have been waiting for the whole true story of the rise and downfall of the company. This documentary accomplished that.

Fascinating story - I only knew about the car from movies, but this guy’s life was like a movie itself.
