A Hidden Life

I generally enjoyed the movie but it was long and dragged out.

Spectacular Faith reason and the Cost of liberty little understood in our current day where good is evil and the reverse imposed as true... the Nazi social nationalists were no different than Black Lives Matter

This movie is not typical and therefore some people will not care for it. But if you want a movie that shows, doesn’t tell, has amazing cinematography (every shot seems like it would be the best in any other movie), and allows you to feel the weight of the characters, then you won’t regret it. Also a great showing of what Christ is like and what we calls us to in this life. Inspiring and hopeful amongst such evil.

This movie is truly profound to watch. The cinematography, the story, and the music blend together so beautifully! The pace of the movie is perfect! I want to watch it over and over again.

Return to form and excellence, although I’m an ultra terry fan so i may be exaggerating.

Beautiful shots but pacing is terrible. Overdone. Seems like an epic movie is somewhere in it.

...but not a complete failure either...,...just unfortunate. it didn't really achive anything to overdramatise nazi behavior in most of the collaborators to a grimmacing extend, while simultaniously failing to convincingly state the case of franz jägerstätter. to focus on his suffering for more than two hours didn't make a convincing case of his pledge for humanity and civic responsibility, no matter how refined the cinematography. but what really discredited the movie was the duplicity with 'the tree of life', which was the brilliant film that 'a hidden life' strives to be. aesthetics, filming, storytelling, editing, score: they all were so similar that it was impossible to be overlooked. but the acting in 'the tree of life' was better and more subtle, the story missing but the mood and message stringent and on point. none of this applies to 'a hidden life'.

Extremely slow and keeps you wondering where the plot is going. Boring and wasted what could have been a good movie. Save yourself money and time. Do not recommend.

Love the cinematography but it was a little slow for me !!!
