The Rhythm Section

Indeed, the first time I watched this I was not watching the movie but Blake. The second and now many times later I watch the movie and it gets better and better and really admire her efforts in making this great.

I am sorry to have to question the sanity and judgment of the kids (daughter and step-son) of one of the two original producers of the original James Bond series (Albert R. “Cubby” Broccoli) — those kids being Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson; but they produced this thing, so it’s their responsibility. And that’s exactly what I have to do, having wasted a fraction of my life sitting through this deadly boring and totally artless piece of trash. View it at your own risk. It is a one sentence, done-to-death, “plot”line seemingly stretched out into infinity. This motion picture contains absolutely no originality. It is also lacking in suspense, poorly directed, and has a dreadful soundtrack that doesn’t fit the film except to make it worse, and is a complete waste of time. It just proves how inherited money (and a lack of talent and intellect) will inevitably produce mediocrity.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!! The ONLY “Suspense” is not knowing if a loud noise will occur, waking you up!!(no worries... not much of a fear of that happening)!!!! Even the car crashing and gunfire isn’t enough to wake what the rest of the movie puts to sleep!!! *Barely OK for the 99cent rental!!! Uggggghhhhh.....

The movie moves too slowly from the main character being a victim to lone assessin because in the end it never mattered.

We love Blake lively but this was terrible

This is the female version of An American Assassin imho. Same plot, same emotional drive, but quite a bit slower in pace. The movie had great potential, but way too much screen time was spent on character over development. The director wasted a huge amount of time in the beginning of the movie. We get it, she has suffered loss, so no need to keep re-rolling the same snippet of film over and over and over and over. For goodness sake, use your brain, director, that was just ludicrous. I believe that is the main reason viewers never finished the film, hence crappy reviews. I give it 3 stars as it is worth watching once you get past the first 45 minutes of unnecessary reflection after reflection after reflection. It is sad, because the acting was brilliant, the directing was crap.

What makes this filme attractive is Lively's fit with the electic filming techinques. Sudden, raw, intense sequences contrasted by her all to real inexperience as a Hit Girl provides an attractive dialogue in a decent story.Not perfect but high marks for her risky acting.

Don't waste your time or money. The movie has too many plot holes and the end is just stupid.

I enjoyed this realistic portrayal of a woman training to enter a world of espionage. The car chase scene was thrilling and well shot. The real disappointment for me was the ending however it doesn’t ruin the movie as a whole.
