Description

In the mid 1990's the Dayton, OH music scene was generating worldwide buzz from the influential indie rock being produced there. Arguably the most innovative was the band Brainiac, led by musical genius and charismatic front man Tim Taylor. On the verge of signing a major label record deal Taylor was tragically killed in an auto accident leaving his family and bandmates to pick up the pieces.

This movie made me laugh and cry. My eyes were glued to the screen watching this tale about a band on the cusp of major stardom, only to have it snatched away by tragedy. I also found it to be a pleasurable nostalgic trip through the land of the 90’s rock scene. Incredibly, directed and edited. A must watch for anyone who loves music docs, or really anyone who just loves a great story! Well done!

This film tells the story of one of the most innovative bands of all time. Their stage performances made your jaw hit the floor and their recordings made you scratch your head, while tapping your foot and smiling. Timeless band, timeless music.

Not just a great film about a truly important band that I had never heard of, but also an amazing film about the 90s music scene. An inspiring story told with heart and humor.
