I own the 25th anniversary version and now I see this version and it shows 4K under the information. Can someone confirm if this is actually 4K or not?
  • Apple and Hasbro do it again… making it look like you didn’t have this movie

Apple’s been allowing studios like Hasbro, Miramax, DreamWorks and others to make it look like you don’t already own it if you purchased it in the past. You’ll want to check your library in iTunes Movies app to be sure.

I already own this movie and it shows it as not 4K. Why don’t I get the 4k update?

It’s a kids movie, but it brutally kills (like REALLY kills) the lead character (in fact, many characters don’t survive) and has an incredible plot with amazing voice actors like Orson Welles (in his last work), Leonard Nimoy, and others. Highly, highly recommend. It also has a GREAT soundtrack.
  • Great movie but why do I need to rebuy it?

The movie is wonderful especially if you watch the original G1 cartoon series but for some strange reason, Apple is asking all users who own it to rebuy it again. I don’t know if it’s because a 4K version now exists but shouldn’t they just give us the upgrade? Makes no sense.
  • No 4K even though there is a 4K version

I purchased Jan 2018, and recently it was removed from my library because the “retailer” released a new version, so unless I downloaded a local copy my only option is to repurchase the new version Shame on Hasbro for the money grab, and shame on Apple for allowing this poor customer experience on their platform
  • Why do I need to buy again?

Why does iTunes constantly take movies away I already purchased and make me have to purchase them again, this is in my library, but says I need to purchase again. This is ridiculous apple, no other platform does this, they let you keep the movie under the new owner not have to buy it again..........
  • One of my fondest Childhood Memories

Was a theater packed with 8-12yr olds. This was time when parents didn’t helicopter over their kids. No lame social media or annoying smart phone screens. It was like a theater packed with gremlins all eagerly awaiting one of the best childhood movies made.
