Nina of the Woods follows aspiring actress, Nina Noon, after she agrees to lend her “local authenticity” to a supernatural reality TV show filming an episode about the purported Bigfoot sightings near the tiny town she left as a young child. She and the documentary crew follow an enigmatic guide deep into the labyrinthine wilderness, where they encounter an ancient, hypnotic force that locks the team under a subtle spell. Quickly, the young crew’s modern sensibilities are overwhelmed. Things that were deemed fake seem real, what should be rudimentary becomes profound and confusing. Soon everyone is questioning not only the work they were hired to do, but the very nature of life itself.
