This movie was touching, heartbreaking, and empowering. The actors portray their roles so well in telling the story of Donna. Kate Amundsen shows both strength and vulnerability so well in her role, making you grow attached to the story. It shows the importance of friends' and family's love and support throughout rough times and perseverance no matter what. DONNA is a great representation of a topic that deserves awareness!

This film is incredible on so many levels. As Donna goes from girlhood to womanhood and she journeys into what is supposed to be the beautiful unfolding years of creating a family and raising her children, she is met w the unexpected reality of domestic abuse. How this affects her and her 3 children and how she found her inner warrior, thus, her own voice, is empowering to say the least. As she soldiers on and finds her own inner strength and ways out of a vey harrowing reality, she reminds us there is always hope to find ‘ways through and out’ if we can keep just believing in ourselves and through putting one foot in front of the other while trying to cultivate the strength within to seek and make change. An powerful true story, this film will inspire anyone dealing w this all too common of a reality. The actors do an incredible job bringing these characters to life. The costuming and music really add to the overall mood and feel of the film. I give Donna 5 stars!

A beautiful story or endurance, strength and love . Finding your voice and learning how to thrive and survive by your own self reliance and support system. Truly let’s you feel and view the perspective of both victim & survivor. A definite must see and movement to support!

Such an amazing and beautifully shot movie! The struggles that Donna endures and preserves through is so inspiring. Donna is the embodiment of a strong and independent woman that didn’t let her abusive relationship stop her from achieving her dreams. This film also highlights the importance of taking a stance against domestic abuse. I absolutely loved the film, definitely recommend watching!

Donna reminds many viewers that there is hope at the end of all of this, and to go and find that hope. Perhaps the strongest aspect of this movie is the message itself, anyone can find themselves in Donna's shoes.
