The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

The paving was off, cinematography desperately lacking and it just didn’t build suspense or capture my interest. The first two were atmospheric in tension and in the scares. This felt like an independent film without a vision.

Not as good as the first two, but still a good watch

The Conjuring is one of those movies that shines in the horror genre. I’m personally not a big horror fan, but man, did I love the first two Conjuring films. They’re creepy, scary, dramatic, and atmospheric. I won’t lie, this third installment was a bit of a disappointment. But maybe that’s because expectations were high. Perhaps if I see it again, I’ll enjoy it more. While I appreciate the change in direction, it does not match the gravitas and mood of the first two. This could be because of James Wan standing down as the director and the absence of the Hayes brothers. In any case, I’m glad it’s a complete trilogy now. I will say this. Conjuring 3 is better than some of the spin-offs made. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have wonderful chemistry and engaging screen presence. It does have its creepy moments. I hope we get to see more of the Warrens. But knowing how long it took for Conjuring 3 to come out, it’s unlikely. If you’re not a horror fan, check out the Conjuring movies. It will make you a fan!

This movie is one of the best of the series. The num takes the cake in my opinion, buuuut this one is really good.

I love this franchise but I would not recommend this third movie in their series. The first and second movie in this series is great. Pass on this one. Hopefully if they make a fourth one, it will be better than this one. My review is about as interesting to read as this movie was to watch. I literally fell asleep half way through and woke up to my wife watching Starling.

Good story, good pacing. Some nice jump scares, but not the scariest of the Conjuring series.

This was a good movie. One of the better ones in my opinion. It was not easy to follow but pretty entertaining. A lot going on in this movie. It is worth a rent.

Absolutely amazing

Was there anything overall great about it no. But it was a fun movie to watch, worth a rent. And if you liked the other 2, you’ll probably like this one. It had some cool scenes in it too.
