Directed by Evan Cecil, Lasso centers around Simon (Jacobs) and Kit (Morgan), two leaders of an Active Senior Tour group visiting a remote small-town rodeo festival. It’s a great experience for the group…until they try to leave. The duo eventually join with a one-armed cowboy (Flanery), a rodeo queen, and a powerhouse female bull rider in their fight to survive the night and save what seniors they can from bloodthirsty cowboys on the hunt for human livestock.Roberto Marinas wrote the screenplay from a story by Marinas and Cecil.

  • A Surprisingly Fun Suspenseful Film!

This movie was a good film, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat multiple times. Long story short it’s about a group of seniors led by two young students taking a field trip to a rodeo event. There they have a good time, until it’s time to go home. Being the last ones there they are about to head off when they see a woman running for her life being chased by a horseback man. He then kills her and that’s when they realize this is about to be a nightmare. The film makes you dislike the bad people in this film by how they are portrayed. They are big buff cowboys who beat and kill defenseless seniors and people, all while acting tough doing it. I honestly stayed watching just to see how the cowboys are killed and was happy when it happened. They all deserved what was coming to them. You also grow to root for the people being chased and hunted. I grew to like them but it’s one of those films where they all tend to make stupid decisions. The film does feature a lot of blood and gore, so just be cautious of that, and it surprisingly shows no nudity which is common in these types of films nowadays. It was a fun watch especially considering it’s only $3. You pay more for fast food at that price. Also if still borderline on it remember it’s only 99 cents to watch it. Give it a shot!
