Description

ADHD is one of the most commonly diagnosed-and widely misunderstood-neurological conditions in the world today, affecting nearly 10% of kids and a rising number of adults. But what if having an ADHD brain is actually an asset? A growing number of innovators, entrepreneurs, CEO's, Olympic athletes, and award-winning artists have recently disclosed that their ADHD, managed effectively, has played a vital role in their success. The Disruptors hears from many of those game-changing people about their ADHD, and takes an immersive look at our approach to ADHD that debunks the most harmful myths, and intimately takes viewers inside a number of families as they navigate the challenges - and the surprising triumphs - of living with ADHD.

I have been a diagnostician for 40 years working in public schools and private practice. This documentary is so amazing. It really explains the many facets of ADHD and how misunderstood students can be. I also love the fact that it looks at the angst parents have trying to deal with their child. A documentary like this has been long overdue. I feel like this could be a series.

This is such an incredible film. As someone who has struggled with ADHD their entire life, it is so relieving and refreshing to finally have such an in-depth, thorough, and emotional look into a mental disability that is far too often treated like a joke. The interviews were fantastic and the subjects of the film were emotional and heartfelt looks into the lives of people with ADHD. I cannot recommend it enough! One of the best documentaries in years.

This is the first film to finally debunk the most harmful and pervasive myths about this diagnosis and to fundamentally reframe how we think about ADHD. Parents, watch this film with your children and encourage your schools to screen this long overdue and much needed film about this very misunderstood brain type.
