Awful. Pointless.

This is a PERFECTLY done movie! 10/10 ! It’s adds on to Resolution and The Endless. Huge fan and will be watching this over and over just like the rest off their work.

I don't normally take time out to write reviews but I feel compelled to warn other people not to wast their money or their time. THis was one of the worst, if not the worst, movies I have ever seen. I kept waiting for something exciting to happen or some interesting plot to reveal itself. After 2 hrs I was not rewarded with anything. There were no funny moments, minimal suspense, lots of plot holes. And for some reason they really focused on these 2 guys smoking cigarettes constantly. Don't waste your time.

This movie was boring and pointless. Don’t watch it. If you like watching people smoke a ton of cigarettes this is a great movie.

Not funny. not scary.. not anything

This film comes directly following their writing work on Marvel’s Moon Knight & a string of sci-fi film masterpieces starting with Resolution and continuing with Spring, The Endless, and Synchronic - which saw mainstream exposure thanks to Anthony Mackie (who recently reprised his role as MCU’s Falcon) & British actor Jamie Dornan (BBC’s The Fall, 50 Shades of Grey). The writing, directing, & acting duo of Aaron Moorhead & Justin Benson create a fantastical world set in the bounds of Los Angeles, mostly taking place within their respective apartments. From what begins as a supposed supernatural encounter with a “ghost”, the two begin a deep dive into a rabbit hole of bizarre conspiracy theories, historical secret societies, synchronicities, and recording it all on their respective camera’s within the bounds of the movie. It’s falls into one of the wildest rides I’ve seen in the last 5 years (possibly since The Endless), and ends with a rather abrupt “crash” you won’t forget. It requires complete focus & even then - unless you are a mathematical & historical nerd who spends hours diving down random YouTube rabbit holes - you are left with many questions & a rewatch to catch certain shifts or Easter eggs that make things later in the movie become clearer. Overall, give this a chance if you love movies like Donnie Darko, Memento (Or anything Christopher Nolan for that matter), The Machinist, or sci-fi in general. Just be prepared to surrender to it & avoid any distractions for a mind-bending ride from one of the hardest working filmmaker teams out there.

Very cheap very confusing story…. Was a totally waste of time…. ☹️

There's definitely some talent and production value behind this flim, but it nevertheless felt aimless to me. I preferred Coherence (2013), The Endless (2017), and Minor Premise (2020) for other films in the same indie sci-fi supernatural mystery type drama.

This is beyond the Indy film stereotype. There is a lit cigarette in every scene. New scene? Oh wait. Let’s light a cigarette. End of scene light one more. Thinking about past scenes? Oh that’s a cigarette. What happened in this movie? Let’s light a cigarette and think about that.
