One Magic Christmas

I barely discovered this film, but boy is it cool!

This is one of the best Christmas movies ever, right up there with It's A Wonderful Life,and I never fail to watch it each and every Christmas. If you haven't ever seen it, then I suggest purchasing it because you'll watch it year in and year out. A Christmas classic with staying power. It also has the best Santa Claus that any movie has ever had. I think he's the real deal. For sure!

DONT watch this film….i repeat….DONT watch this Christmas movie…….if you don't want to cry and then cry again. Mary Steenburgen is wonderful as usual. This film has a little of ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE and CHRISTMAS CAROL and SANTA CLAUS THE MOVIE….and Disney did it, all in one terrific film! the best part of the film (to me), is where the daughter gets to ask Santa, every question that every child asks. AND she asks the man himself! Harry Dean Stanton as the Christmas angel is no natural in his portrayal, you would think he ACTUALLY is the Christmas angel……hmmmmm. If you want a delightful Disney Christmas film, that will tug your heartstrings, make you laugh, cry and generally give put you in the Chirstmas spirit…..THIS is the film for you.

One Magic Christmas has been a Holiday tradition in our home for years. Mary Steenburgen, Harry Dean Stanton and Gary Basaraba give solid performances. Gideon is a very likable Angel. The children aren't sugar-sweet as usually portrayed in Christmas dramas. The dark, misty quality in which the movie is filmed lends itself to the story. One can almost feel the cold. A solid, heartwarming Christmas drama, One Magic Christmas has something for everyone.

This is one of the best movies I remember seeing as a kid... comparable to Goonies, The Never Ending Story, and a Christmas Story. The Best!

This is one of my favorite holiday movies. The movie made me realize that the lives we touch, even only for a moment, can impact our lives in ways we never imagined. If you ever forget what Christmas and family are really about, watch this movie.

Predictable but not boring. I liked it because it was so family oriented. Loved the interaction between family members and how we all feel isolated and far from the Christmas spirit at times. Good movie for building family attitude and relations. I will watch it several more times with the kids. It is worth buying and backing up on DVD for replaying next year.
