Description

Jumping with action, suspense, revenge and Southern Gothic charm, Frogs' stars Sam Elliott, Joan Van Ark and Ray Milland are constantly a lily pad away from croaking! Jason Crockett (Milland) is an aging, physically disabled millionaire who invites his family to his island estate for his birthday party. The old man is more than crotchety he's crazy! Hating nature, Crockett poisons anything that crawls on his property. But on the night of his shindig, it's nature's payback time, as thousands of frogs whip up every bug and slimy thing into a toxic frenzy until the entire environment goes environ-mental.

  • What Hitchcock's "Birds," wished it could have been...

One of my most favorite movies. Inspired by "Birds," by Alfred Hitchcock, this movie transcends the amphibious creature of Frogs to ALL wildlife on an island off of Jacksonville, Florida. You like butterflies? Watch Frogs. You like Komodo dragons? Watch Frogs. You like snakes? SNAKES ON A PLANE? Watch Frogs. You like dogs? Watch Frogs. You like catfish? Watch Frogs. You like hot blondes in '70s attire? Watch Frogs. You like Sam Elliot, pre-stache? Watch Frogs. #GOAT #frogs

It's not one of those movies that bad and you watch it with some friends and make fun of it. It's really just bad, that being said it did manage to hold my attention. But mainly because I wanted to see what the heck would happen next. Plus there are no frogs in the movie, they are all just toads. Wouldn't buy, but a rent if you want to see something stupid.

Had a boyfriend and then turned super ugly. Moral of the story, ladies don't defile yourselves and your pretty face won't go to hell.

That stunk! The only part I liked was when the reptiles make a poisen in the green house and when the turtle that came -2 miles per hour ate that one lady. I couldn't stop laughing at it! By the way, the frogs don't eat anyone! I was really expecting that. Could somone explain the end for me? The old guy doesn't leave his house, he gets jumped on by frogs? Wow that's scary

This movie first passed into our possession when my mother's boss gave it to her as a gift. She likes frogs, always has and always will, so this movie sounds like a no-brainer... right? I guess the horror genre has to start SOMEwhere, because we would never have some of the iconic films of today without hitting THESE speedbumps and recognizing where other directors totally screwed up a movie. And this is definitely a no-brainer, in the sense that the plot is so mindless. The deaths in this movie make no sense, there were lots of obvious filmmaking errors, and it's all just generally confusing, some things happen without explaining why. The ending is particularly bad and nonsensical. We watched it and could not stop laughing. Unless you're looking for some standard Mystery Science Theater fare, I strongly advise looking at other movies. The forces of nature attacking somebody out of spiteful vengeance can a movie make, but not if a bunch of random insects and frogs it will take.

The frogs are coming... hopping, hopping, ribbiting.... uh, it's kinda hard to go from there. They appear to be directing the rest of nature's creatures in an act of revenge against a stereotypical industrialist and his family. Silly nonsense, although I seem to recall it scaring me when I was a kid about 35 years ago.

I saw this movie in 1972 at a Jerry Lewis movie theater in Jersey. I was scared to death. it was great to see it listed here as a movie related to Sam Arnold. It definitly made an impression on me when I was a kid!
