Joshua

Amazing movie in my book. While it isn’t fast paced and full of stupid jump scares, it’s thrilling and definitely psychological. It drags on here and there, and there’s plot points you won’t put together until the end of the movie. There’s a lot of foreshadowing and so much great parts. They develop Joshua to be the perfect little mastermind. If you like movies about psycho kids, this is the movie for you!

Joshua is a creepy, subtle, and sophisticated horror film. There is very little violence in this movie, but if you understand what kind of horror film this is, you will realize that you don't need violence to make a horror film. The acting is well done. The story is well told. I hate this movie so much, it's just that good. I want to say so much more, but I'll spoil things. This movie is not a fast paced film. Its slow moving. But even though it moves along slowly, if you understand it right enough, something inside will twist ever so slightly along with the movie and by the end the twisting is agonizing in such a way that you are frustrated and creeped out by the little boy in the movie. Anyways… its one of those types. But, I recommend it. its a good change of pace from the horror films that depend on brutality, gore and scares in order to fit into the genre.

This is one of those movies that you either love it, or hate it, or you think its OK.

I wish I never saw this movie. I wanted so bad to give it a chance even after reading the reviews. Crap. Crap! The kid was good, movie sucked. Dull...
