Jack Nicholson (Batman, As Good As It Gets, The Shining) stars as James R. Hoffa, Union leader in the Teamsters, this follows the story of how he rose to power and then lost it all while fighting against not only Bobby but also against those who were his allies. His disappearance has only added to his fame and to an understanding that someone somewhere in the Teamsters and possibly in the Mafia wanted him gone. Danny DeVito was not only a great actor in this but a great director. Buy this

A great movie about the begining labor movement in this country for us truck drivers. For the record it was not Krugers that they struck it was Kroger's grocery store but they would not allow them to use the company's name in the movie. Hoffa began working there at the age of 16 and later organized the workers.

Just finished watching it and it was great. Nicholson is just amazing and really becomes the character. Definitely worth renting and quite possibly even worth buying; I want to watch it again right now!

Hoffa is a excellent film. The directing, storytelling, screenplay and acting are all brilliantly done. Jack Nicholson and Danny Devito both deliever amazing acting preformances. Jack Nicholson has outdone himself and this is one of his best films that I have seen. I have no beef with this movie. It is perfect in everyway. Though the beginging is sort of hard to follow. Nonetheless, this film shows what can happen when a excellent script, amazing actors and surberb directing all come togeather to make one amazing film. There is also a twist ending that is sure to leave you shocked. 5 stars for this beyond brilliant movie!

I had never made time for this film in the past and can't believe that I didn't get to it sooner. Superb in regards to storytelling, acting, production design, and direction. Danny DeVito had a clear vision and presented it in a wonderful way. I would recommend this to anyone with interests in biography works and late American History.
