Description

From the duo that brought you Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary comes a hilarious film about "inner beauty"! Hal (Jack Black) is a man so shallow that all he cares about are the bodies of the women he dates. After being hypnotized into seeing the beauty that exists even in the least physically appealing women, he now thinks he's found true love. But what he doesn't realize is that his gorgeous girlfriend (Gwyneth Paltrow) is actually a 300-pound-not-so-hottie!

A CLASSIC from 2001. Probably would never have been made; in today’s caustic environment...

My girlfriend wanted to watch this so I rented it. The download crashed 1/3 of the way through, and there was no way to restart it. Rented it a second time and it crashed a second time. Save your money.

The film has a great theme and I think it means well, but I am not sure who would like it. Overweight people would be reminded of how many in our society mock and berate them. Thin people would avoid riding in an elevator with Tony Robbins. Seriously, this movie is awkward. I wish I had not seen the 40 minutes I wasted on it.
