Are You Being Served?: The Movie

This movie is a mere reflection of the glory that WAS the BBC series. PLEASE, Apple, offer the complete BBC TV series on iTunes! I own it on DVD but would buy it in an instance if you were to offer it! And yes -- to all the neophytes -- it IS an older, dated show. It was dated when it first appeared on broadcast, which only added to its charm. It never goes out of date because it was just in a wonderful wormhole of British classical comedy. All the actors are gone now; please let us not let the show die, too.

British comedy at its best. Surely Apple can work with BBC to bring AYBS and other great British comedies to iTunes. They’re priceless!

I love the movie, wish iTunes would bring the TV series. I would purchase it in a heart beat!!

I like this movie more and more each time I watch it, but would really love to see the TV series on here. Can we expect to see episodes for sale soon?

If you are an AYBS fan, it's worth watching just for the novelty of it. Others have mentioned that the timing seems off...I think this is due to the absence of a laugh track. The actors deliver their lines and pause for the insertion of laughs like they would on the series, but being a movie there is no laugh track, which just leaves awkward silence. Still glad to see it on itunes. Now where is the series??

Not for everyone, just AYBS fanatics. Good for a AYBS fix. No where as funny as the show. But it makes me smile and I'd love Mr. Humphries even if he was only reading the phone book. **** please get the episodes iTunes. *****

I am a huge fan of the TV series and thought that the movie would be great. It was a big disappointment. The movie tried to use the same gags and lines that are used in the TV series, but this time in a new location (on vacation). It just doesn't work. If you are desperate for some AYBS, then this is better than absolutely nothing, but not much. Don't waste your money...search out the TV series instead.

I really liked this movie, it made me lol! It's not as good as the show but still pretty funny!!!!!

I still enjoy watching the re-runs of the show, but this is a huge disappointment. In fact, I'm deleting it off my iTunes as soon as I finish writing this review. The jokes, the plot, everything was really bad. One little half hour tv show is better than this entire movie. Don't waste your money either buying OR renting the pathetic thing.

Funny… some of the jokes are old, but so is the show. The timing seemed to be off for the usual quips, jokes, and the back and forth that I was used to from the series. A must have for AYBS? fans… but not for those unfamiliar with the show.
